Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • Baking Sheet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast. Make a well in the center and pour in lukewarm water and olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. Place the kneaded dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm area for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  3. While the dough rises, prepare your filling. Cook turkey bacon until crispy, chop the chicken ham, and dice the vegetables. Combine them in a mixing bowl with cheese and spices.
  4. Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently. Divide into six pieces and roll each into a 6-inch circle.
  5. Spoon a portion of the filling onto one half of each dough circle. Fold the other half over and press edges together to seal.
  6. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the tops of each calzone with the egg wash.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  8. Place the assembled calzones in the air fryer in a single layer. Cook for about 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crisp.
  9. Remove calzones from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
