Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook diced potatoes for 10-15 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté boiled potatoes for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. Add chopped ham or bacon to the skillet and warm for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until fluffy. Pour over the potato mixture.
  5. Cook eggs undisturbed for 2 minutes, then gently stir for an additional 3 minutes until just set.
  6. Sprinkle cheese over the mixture. Cover and let cook for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
