- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth and lump-free.
- Pour in the melted butter and mix until well combined.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until well incorporated.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and pinch of salt over the mixture, folding them in.
- Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just incorporated.
- Optional: Fold in any nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
