Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine uncooked long-grain white rice with chicken broth. Stir well and spread evenly in the baking dish.
  3. Layer boneless, skinless chicken breasts evenly over the rice mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine softened cream cheese, melted butter, cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until smooth.
  5. Spoon the creamy mixture evenly over the chicken in the baking dish.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Return to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  8. Once baked, allow the casserole to rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
