Preparation Steps
  1. Drain and rinse a can of sweet corn in a colander until all excess water is removed.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat one egg until frothy and combine with grated cheddar cheese, paprika, and pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour with seasoned breadcrumbs thoroughly.
  4. Add the drained corn to your wet mixture, gently folding it in, then gradually add the dry mixture.
  5. Scoop out portions of your mixture and shape them into small balls or patties.
  6. Fry in heated oil over medium heat until golden brown and crispy, approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, or bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and allow to cool before serving.
