- Drain and rinse a can of sweet corn in a colander until all excess water is removed.
- In a mixing bowl, beat one egg until frothy and combine with grated cheddar cheese, paprika, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour with seasoned breadcrumbs thoroughly.
- Add the drained corn to your wet mixture, gently folding it in, then gradually add the dry mixture.
- Scoop out portions of your mixture and shape them into small balls or patties.
- Fry in heated oil over medium heat until golden brown and crispy, approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, or bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and allow to cool before serving.
