- Step 1: Prepare Tofu - Press the extra firm tofu for 15–20 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into uniform bite-sized cubes.
- Step 2: Coat Tofu - In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, garlic powder, lemon zest, and black pepper. Toss the cubed tofu until coated.
- Step 3: Sear Tofu - Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add cooking oil. Sear the coated tofu for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Step 4: Make Sauce - Whisk together lemon juice, additional lemon zest, and a pinch of black pepper. Set aside.
- Step 5: Combine & Serve - Drizzle the sauce over the crispy tofu and gently toss. Serve immediately with your favorite side.
