Preparation Steps
- Lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Evenly distribute half of the cubed brioche bread across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spread half of the cream cheese cubes over the layer of brioche bread and then sprinkle half of the diced strawberries on top.
- Top with the remaining cubed brioche bread, covering all the fillings completely.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and kosher salt until fully combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered bread, ensuring all surfaces are covered.
- Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and allow the dish to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes prior to baking.
- Bake covered with foil for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes and serve warm with remaining fresh strawberries and a dusting of confectioners' sugar if desired.
