Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, Chinese five-spice powder, and sesame oil. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag and pour half of the marinade over them. Seal and massage to coat evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Remove the chicken from the fridge and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  5. Arrange the marinated chicken on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake the chicken for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through and juices run clear.
  7. While baking, pour reserved marinade into a saucepan and bring to a boil, then simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes.
  8. Brush the thickened marinade over the cooked chicken and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  9. Let the chicken rest briefly, then slice and serve with jasmine rice and stir-fried vegetables.
