  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Substitute with mozzarella for milder flavor
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can enhance flavor
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Shallots can be used for freshness
  • 1 tbsp Dried Parsley Use fresh parsley for a brighter flavor
  • 2 cans Crescent Roll Dough Store-bought saves time
Sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Half and half can be used for a lighter sauce
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano can be used for sharper taste
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley Optional for presentation

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  3. On a floured surface, unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  4. At the wide end of each triangle, place a spoonful of chicken filling and roll towards the pointed end, sealing carefully.
  5. Place the filled pillows on a baking sheet with space in between.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, prepare the creamy sauce by combining heavy cream and grated Parmesan in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  8. Once smooth, season the sauce to taste and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Garnish baked pillows with the creamy sauce and fresh parsley before serving.
