For the Drink
  • 2 cups Frozen Mangoes preferably ripe Ataulfo mangoes
  • 3 tablespoons Lime Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup Water adjust for desired thickness
  • 2 tablespoons Cane Sugar to taste
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes adjust for chill
For Garnishing
  • 1 cup Fresh Mangoes (for garnish) cubed
  • 3 tablespoons Chamoy homemade preferred
  • 1 tablespoon Chile-Lime Salt (Tajin recommended) for rimming glasses
For Serving
  • 2 pieces Tamarind Candy Straws optional for sipping

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Mangonada
  1. Prepare garnishes by peeling and cubing fresh mangoes. Set aside a bowl of chamoy and another with chile-lime salt.
  2. Blend ingredients in a high-speed blender: lime juice, frozen mango chunks, water, cane sugar, and ice cubes on high for about 30 seconds.
  3. Rim glasses with chamoy, then dip into chile-lime salt for an even coating.
  4. Layer drink by drizzling chamoy in the bottom of each glass, followed by the blended mango mixture and more chamoy.
  5. Garnish with a drizzle of chamoy and a sprinkle of chile-lime salt, and top with cubed mango and tamarind candy straws.
