Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients to streamline the cooking process.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the finely diced onion and sliced mushrooms, sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  3. In a separate saucepan, bring 4 cups of low-sodium chicken broth to a boil. Add fresh green beans and cook for about 8 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain thoroughly.
  4. Prepare a 2-quart baking dish by coating it with cooking spray. In a large mixing bowl, combine sautéed onions and mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, drained green beans, grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Fold until mixed.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle crispy onion strings on top.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, until heated through and bubbling around edges. Let it rest before serving.
