Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan and prepare white cake mix according to package instructions. Pour into pan and bake for 22-25 minutes.
- Once cool, poke holes all over the surface of the cake, about an inch apart.
- Dissolve one box of strawberry gelatin in one cup of boiling water and then add half a cup of cold water.
- Pour gelatin mixture over the poked cake, covering it well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. In another bowl, whip heavy cream with vanilla and confectioners' sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture.
- Combine crushed Golden Oreos, melted butter, and dry strawberry gelatin in a bowl until mixed well.
- Once chilled, spread frosting over the cake and then top with the Oreo mixture, pressing down gently.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
