Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 9x5-inch loaf pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 beaten eggs with 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, 1 cup of buttermilk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Sift in 2 cups of self-rising flour along with 1/2 teaspoon of salt into the wet mixture. Gently fold until just combined.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of finely chopped pecans into the batter.
