Ingredients

Fudge Base
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk Adds an irresistible sweetness and creamy texture; no substitutions recommended.
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips Provides structure and a smooth mouthfeel; substitute with dairy-free white chocolate for a vegan touch.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Contributes to the richness and stability of the fudge; coconut oil is a great dairy-free alternative.
Flavor Enhancements
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste or seeds Delivers a rich vanilla flavor with lovely flecks for visual appeal; pure vanilla extract can be a substitute, though the flavor may be softer.
  • 1 cup fresh dandelion petals Infuses a unique floral note; ensure they are freshly picked from non-pesticide areas, or use dried petals if needed.

Equipment

  • 8"x8" square pan
  • medium saucepan
  • Spatula

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by taking an 8"x8" square pan and lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, white chocolate chips, and unsalted butter. Place the saucepan over low heat and stir continuously for about 5–7 minutes, or until the ingredients are melted and smooth.
  3. Once melted, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla bean paste.
  4. Carefully fold in the fresh dandelion petals using a spatula.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into your prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Place the pan in the refrigerator and allow the fudge to chill for at least 2 hours.
  7. After chilling, remove the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper edges as handles, and slice into squares.
