Filling
  • 200 g Blueberries Fresh or frozen (thaw if frozen).
  • 1 tbsp Orange Zest Lemon zest can be used instead.
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon Nutmeg can be a fun substitute.
  • 50 g Brown Sugar Coconut sugar makes a great substitute.
Topping
  • 100 g Icing Sugar Mix with lemon juice or water for glaze.
  • 50 g Candied Walnuts Pecans can be used instead.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, caster sugar, and yeast.
  2. In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until butter melts. Pour into dry ingredients.
  3. Knead mixture with a stand mixer for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1.5-2 hours.
  5. Punch down dough, roll out, and spread with the filling ingredients.
  6. Roll tightly into a log, slice into 10-12 pieces, and arrange in a greased tin.
  7. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes in a warm place.
  8. Preheat oven to 200°C and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes, prepare icing, and drizzle over rolls with walnuts.
