Instructions
- Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a high-quality pot or kettle. Once boiling, add 2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea. Allow to steep for about 10 minutes, then remove tea bags or strain loose leaves and transfer the brewed tea into a large pitcher.
- In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of water with your diced ripe mango. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer for approximately 10 minutes. Mash the mango into a smooth puree.
- Strain the mango puree through a fine mesh sieve into the pitcher of brewed tea. Press down on the puree to extract all the delicious liquid.
- To sweeten, add 2 tablespoons of honey to the pitcher. Stir until honey completely dissolves.
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Prepare glasses filled with ice, and pour the chilled Mango Iced Tea over each.
