Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour, ¾ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
- In another bowl, beat ½ cup of softened unsalted butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add 2 large eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Mix in ⅓ cup of Baileys Irish Cream until well blended.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with 1 cup of milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix on low speed just until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Beat 8 ounces of softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 2 cups of powdered sugar and a few tablespoons of milk until fluffy.
- Once cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting generously on top and dust with cocoa powder.
