Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8.5 x 4.5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt, then set aside.
  3. Beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy, then add eggs.
  4. Gradually alternate adding the dry mixture and milk into the butter-sugar mixture until just combined.
  5. Combine chopped apples, light brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  6. Layer half of the batter in the loaf pan, then half of the apple mixture; repeat with remaining batter and apples.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar topping evenly over the last layer of batter.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes, then drizzle with glaze.
