- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a small skillet over low heat. Add sliced mushrooms and onions with Worcestershire sauce and sauté for about 10 minutes until caramelized.

- Form 1 pound of ground beef into four quarter-pound patties, seasoning each with salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
- Cook the patties on a medium-high grill for 5 minutes without flipping, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to melt.
- Butter the hamburger buns and toast them in a separate skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, adding the patty, then topping with the onion and mushroom mixture, finishing with the other half of the bun.
