Ingredients
  

For the Agua Fresca
  • 1 medium English Cucumber Chopped into small pieces
  • 2 cups Fresh Pineapple Chopped
  • ½ cup Fresh Lime Juice From about 4 fresh limes
  • 1 thumb-sized piece Fresh Ginger Peeled
  • 1 handful Fresh Mint
  • 3 cups Water Coconut water can be used as alternative
  • 1-2 tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup Optional
  • 1 ounce Gin or Vodka Optional for an adult version

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash cucumber and mint leaves thoroughly. Chop half the cucumber and set aside. Cut pineapple into chunks (about 2 cups). Juice the limes to obtain ½ cup juice.
  2. In a high-speed blender, combine chopped cucumber, pineapple, lime juice, peeled ginger, mint leaves, and water. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until smooth.
  3. Taste the mixture for sweetness and add maple syrup if desired. Pulse for 10 seconds to incorporate.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl if a smoother texture is desired.
  5. Transfer the blended mixture into a large pitcher filled with ice. Stir gently to chill.
  6. Pour into glasses filled with ice. Add gin or vodka if desired and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes
