  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce optional
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil or another oil
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch mixed with water, optional
  • 2 stalks Green Onions for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions for Chicken Cabbage Stir-Fry
  1. In a medium bowl, marinade chicken with soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper for 10-15 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, salt, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with butter or oil, then stir-fry the marinated chicken until golden brown for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Sauté sliced onion and minced garlic in the skillet for about 2 minutes until soft.
  5. Add cabbage, bell pepper, and shredded carrots. Stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  6. Combine cooked chicken with vegetables and pour over the prepared sauce, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Adjust seasoning if necessary, serve hot garnished with sliced green onions.
