  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil Any vegetable oil can be used.
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt Sea salt can be used as a substitute.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to your preference.

Method
 

Recipe Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Gather your ingredients while the oven heats up.
  2. In a nonstick skillet, heat a splash of extra virgin olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced Vidalia onions, seasoning with kosher salt and black pepper. Sauté for about 10 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook the onions for an additional 30 minutes, stirring frequently until golden-brown.
  4. While the onions caramelize, rinse and trim fresh green beans. Place on a baking sheet, spritz with olive oil spray, and season with kosher salt and black pepper.
  5. Roast the green beans in the preheated oven for 16 to 18 minutes, giving them a toss halfway through.
  6. Transfer roasted green beans to a serving platter and top with the caramelized onions. Serve warm.
