  • 1 15.25-ounce box Strawberry Cake Mix Recommended for the bars
  • 1 large Egg Binds ingredients together
For the Sweet Center
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips Optional substitutes: milk chocolate or semi-sweet chips
  • 8 ounces Sweetened Condensed Milk Fat-free version can be used for lighter bars

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil, spraying it lightly with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter until creamy and smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the strawberry cake mix and egg to the butter mixture and blend until you achieve a sticky dough, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Press approximately ½ to ⅔ of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the white chocolate chips over the pressed dough.
  6. Drizzle about 60% of the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the white chocolate chips.
  7. Crumble the remaining dough over the top of the bars in small pieces.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 27-30 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow the bars to cool for at least 2-3 hours at room temperature before slicing.
