Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by boiling 4 cups of filtered water in a kettle. Once the water reaches around 175°F (80°C), pour it over 4 green tea bags or 4 teaspoons of loose leaf green tea in a heatproof pitcher. Allow the tea to steep for about 3 minutes.
  2. If you opt to enhance your Tropical Iced Green Tea, add 1 tablespoon of matcha powder and your desired sweetener into the hot tea. Stir well until everything dissolves completely.
  3. Once the tea is brewed, carefully remove the tea bags or strain the loose tea leaves from the pitcher. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, or refrigerate it until chilled.
  4. While the tea is cooling, prepare the tropical mix by peeling and chopping 1 ripe mango and some pineapple. Blend until smooth and pour this puree into a large pitcher. Add 2 cups of coconut water and stir gently.
  5. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the tropical fruit mix into the glasses, and layer the cooled green tea over the tropical mix.
  6. To finish, garnish with a fresh slice of pineapple on the rim of each glass.
